Children will present on Leonardo da Vinci&#8217;s works of art and inventions and then will enjoy an Italian meal together. Also included is our field trip for this unit. These lessons are geared toward 3rd-4th grade level children and their siblings. They will display a replica (painting, model, etc.) of the piece of art or invention while giving a 5 minute presentation on it.<\/p>\n<p><a><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"leonardo-da-vinci-lesson\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/archived\/d3ddf85cec397e9c1a8126e83e20efcf.jpg\" style=\"max-height: 500px; width: auto;\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Leonardo da Vinci Themed Meal<\/h2>\n<p>Following the presentations, have a Leonardo-themed meal. He did not write much about food, so we don&#8217;t really know what he ate. Some claim he was a vegetarian. We do know he invented a convection meat roasting spit, so you can include rotisserie-style chicken with your meal.<\/p>\n<p>For a Florentine Meal You Can Serve:<\/p>\n<p>Antipasti (Hors d&#8217;oeuvres): Fettunta: Italian Bread slices and dipping oil with garlic and fresh herbs<\/p>\n<p>Primi piatti (First course): Spaghetti alla carbonara<\/p>\n<p>Zuppe e Minestre (Soup): Pasta e fagioli<\/p>\n<p>Contorni (Side dish): Verdure grigliate: Grilled vegetables<\/p>\n<p>Dolci e biscotti (Desserts): Tiramisu &amp; Cenci Cookies<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Vino (Wine)&#8221;: White grape juice<\/p>\n<h2>Leonardo&#8217;s Florentine Meal &#8211; To see what we served at our Leonardo-themed meal, you can view the photos below.
